Academic Recognition

Students who excel in their academics are given due recognition. The Office of the Registrar releases the following lists a month after the end of each semester:

Dean’s List (1st to 3rd year students)

To be on the Dean’s List, you must:
• Have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.50 or better;
• Have no failing mark during your entire stay in the University; and
• Have no incomplete mark for the semester in question.

President’s List (4th and 5th year graduate level students)
To be on the President’s List, you must:
• Have a GWA that ranks you as one of the Top 10 students in your year level, across all graduate programs;
• Have a regular academic load;
• Have no failing mark during your entire stay in the University; and
• Have no incomplete mark for the semester in question.

Take note that your GWA is computed based on the grades you have received for ALL semesters spent in the University. (Please see the next section to learn how to compute your GWA.)
If you consistently earn a place on these lists, you are on the path to graduating with Academic Honors.
