Article IV

The Student Congress (EMSCon)
    Section 1: The Student Congress consists of all the elected Class Officers of each section of each of the four year levels of the EM Student Assembly.

    Section 2: The Student Congress shall:

a) be the unified voice of the EM Student Assembly
b) act as a solid bridge between the faculty, and among the students
c) serve as role models for student excellence
d) promote the EM identity with pride
e) be one with the faculty in actualizing the common EM vision
f) Embody the values of truth and integrity, excellence, fortitude and perseverance in the formation of a true entrepreneur


    Section 3: The Class President shall:

a) direct and supervise the activities of the class
b) preside over all meetings and dialogues of the class
c) represent or delegate representatives of the class to official functions of the Congress, Council, and Board of the EMP of the School and/or the University
d) prepare and present regular reports to the EMSEB and the EMP faculty and Administration
e) be the communication link between the class and the EMSEB and the EMP faculty and Administration
f) maintain peace and order in and out of the classroom
g) sit as a member of the Fact Finding Committee when necessary

 

    Section 4: The Class Vice President/Treasurer shall:

a) assume the functions and responsibilities of the President in the latter’s absence or whenever deemed necessary
b) assist the President in the supervision and coordination of class activities
c) assist the President in maintaining peace and order in and out of the classroom
d) act as the principal Budgetary Officer of the class
e) keep custody of the class funds
f) manage and monitor the use of the class fund
g) disburse the class fund only with the approval of the class
h) establish and maintain the financial records of the class

 

    Section 5: The Class Secretary shall:

a) record the minutes of the class meetings
b) establish and maintain the class database and class records/documents
c) be responsible for the documentation of all class activities
